Chick-fil-A, of course, is known for those iconic Original Chicken Sandwiches. Sometimes, though, you're just in the mood for something warm and cozy. When the soup craving strikes, do you think about fast food chains that offer delicious choices? Probably not, but Chick-fil-A has a solution for that, too. Their seasonal Chick-fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup is one of the lesser-celebrated menu items, but I am here to say that a bowl of this spicy Tex-Mex soup can change your whole outlook on life. It's that good and it's back.

On The Chicken Wire, Chick-fil-A asked its Team Members from the Chicago area to spill their favorite menu hacks for this fan favorite.
You simply can't beat the perfect blend of spices and black beans in this iconic soup. High in dietary fiber, the green chilies and bell peppers elevate this chicken soup from a version you'd find in a can to one simmering on your grandma's stovetop.
The Southwestern flair of the soup makes it stand out among the rest of Chick-fil-A's chicken menu items, like the chicken nuggets with Chick-fil-a sauce. After all, in the cooler months of the year, don't you want to cozy up with a large pot of soup anyways? Instead of going for the homemade version, try these menu hacks instead!
1. Add lots of sauce.
As Karina Myer told The Chicken Wire about the soup, "I eat it every day and it definitely warms me up."
Menu Hack: Add Ranch, Buffalo Sauce, and Texas Pete Hot Sauce.
For extra kick, add a Chick-fil-A Spicy Filet on the side. If you want to tone down the heat, consider adding a dollop of sour cream to the soup.
2. Get creative.
Liana Gissendanner prefers a more savory approach to her add-ins. "I love taking the bacon we cook at the restaurant, crumbling it up and putting it on the soup," she said.
Menu Hack: Add bacon, lime (or lemon), and cheese
This menu hack is perfect for taking your soup home and dressing it up there. Besides, it's so much easier than perfecting a chicken broth on the stove with a copycat recipe.
3. Do the dip.
Gassendenner also had one last trick for fancying up that hearty Chicken Tortilla Soup and no, it's not adding a taco seasoning packet. It's similar to the tortilla strips on top of the soup.
Menu Hack: Grab tortilla chips and dip! Add sour cream on top for fun.
This is the best insider tip because it means you're eating your soup like a nacho, and who can resist that? You definitely can't eat a chicken sandwich like a nacho.
No matter how you dress it up, the Chick-fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup is a big fan favorite for a reason. The choice to use a chicken broth base instead of a white creamy base adds nutritional value, and by using shredded boneless breast meat, the soup is high in protein.
