Chick-Fil-A Restaurant Chain Named Third Highest Grossing Chain in America
Not surprisingly, McDonald's has held the number one spot on the food industry list for years. With over 13,000 units and 40.41 billion in sales, it's no surprise the number one spot goes to the McDonald's fast-food chain.
In second, Starbucks takes the lead as the number one coffee chain with over 15,000 units and 21.38 billion in sales. The quick-service coffee chain is followed by Dunkin', coming in at number eight on the list.
The third-largest restaurant chain is none other than Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A, bringing in a whopping 11.32 billion in sales out of their 2,470 locations. The fast-food restaurant surpassed American favorites such as Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Wendy's with ease.
All About Chick-fil-A
Originally founded as The Dwarf Grill in Atlanta, Georgia in 1946, today Chick-fil-A serves delicious chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, and waffle fries to customers in over 47 states. With a simple menu and a focus on customer service, the chicken chain is an American favorite. This past year the Chicken chain added dine-in mobile ordering, eliminated antibiotics from its chicken and added Macaroni and Cheese to the menu; its first new permanent item addition in three years.
We can't wait to see what Chick-fil-A has in store next year. Does anyone else have a craving for Chicken nuggets and waffle fries right now?
