It's worth poking around on the internet to find hidden jewels like this one. Chris Stapleton fans might think they've listened to all of Stapleton's music, but many people haven't heard his phenomenal performance of "Heart Letting Go" that can't be found on Spotify, Amazon or iTunes.
Stapleton sang the song at the Station Inn in Nashville for a benefit concert to support tornado victims in Eastern Kentucky. As a Kentucky native, Stapleton lets his emotions ring throughout the Tennessee venue. Thankfully, the audio recording of the video is of relatively high quality, so listeners can fully take in the mind-bogglingly beautiful performance. When Stapleton starts the song, you could hear a pin drop in the club. It's as if everyone knew they were in for a vocal performance that would leave them with jaws dropped.

Stapleton has a special connection to "Heart Letting Go" since he co-wrote the track, but many probably know the song from Ronnie Dunn of Brooks and Dunn's 2014 record Peace, Love and Country Music. Though "Heart Letting Go" didn't make it onto Stapleton's 2015 album Traveller, it's fun to hear this pared-down version. And you can't help but wonder what the song would sound like if he were to go into the studio to record it.
'Heart Letting Go' Lyrics:
I don't see the same look in your eyes
One that used to say we're meant to be
I can't feel the hunger in your touch
You used to tell me I'm all you need
It's hard to stay, but leaving her
I'm not sure which one is the worst
Cause tonight I'll hold the love I used to know
And listen to the heart letting go
Just how long it's been I can't recall
Since I felt the warmth of your kiss
All the little things you used to do
All the things that I already miss
It's hard to stay, but leaving her
I'm not sure which one is the worst
Cause tonight I'll hold the love I used to know
And listen to a heart letting go
When you decide to say goodbye
How am I suppose to live without you, I don't know
Don't know why I'm holding on
We both know that you're already gone
It's hard to stay, but leaving her
I'm not sure which one is worst
'Cause tonight I'll hold the love I used to know
And listen to a heart letting go
Yeah, tonight I'll hold the love I used to know
Listen to a heart letting go, a heart letting go
