It sounds too good to be true- the amazing cinnamon sugar goodness of your childhood, somehow captured in a shot glass? This incredible concoction involves only a few key ingredients- fireball cinnamon whiskey, RumChata, cinnamon, and sugar. The liquid component is usually just fireball whiskey combined with rumchata, while cinnamon sugar rims the glasses. This tasty shot is essentially a cousin of horchata, but shot-sized!

Rumchata is the perfect cream liqueur to create sweet but boozy cocktails and shots, and it goes perfectly with cinnamon. For an extra kick, some cinnamon toast crunch cocktail recipes call for Kahlua, baileys Irish cream or vanilla vodka as well. Others use milk for extra creaminess, and you can even add a cinnamon stick garnish to class it up!

If sweet, boozy drinks make your heart sing, there are lots of variations of this simple theme! The French toast shot is a similarly breakfast-based shot, consisting of butterscotch schnapps, fireball whiskey and Irish cream. Garnish with banana slices for some potassium and decoration.

Another yummy drink recipe is a pudding shot, which is the same idea as a jello shot. This is made with milk, Irish cream liqueur, vodka and pudding mix. The classic pudding shot is made with chocolate pudding, but vanilla pudding can be used as well. The next time you sit down for happy hour or brunch, consider a cinnamon toast crunch shot instead of a mimosa or cocktail! This delicious shot will take you right back to the good old days.

How To Make a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shot

To make a cinnamon toast crunch shot, combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, using a 2:1 ration with twice as much cinnamon. Then put the rim of your shot glasses into the cinnamon-sugar, making sure enough of the mixture sticks to the glass.

Put ice into a cocktail shaker, and add in the fireball whisky and RumChata. Shake mixture, then pour into shot glasses. Enjoy this blast from the past!
