Willie Nelson
Shotgun Willie himself has one of the most distinctive looks in the history of popular music in general. He's such a beloved and adored country icon that a Willie Nelson Halloween costume is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Find yourself a long red wig, plait into two braids on either side of your head, and tie a red bandana around your forehead for instantly recognizable Willie style. Finish with a black Western shirt (a plain black tee will do in a pinch), faded jeans and cowboy boots. A prop joint is optional.
Lainey Wilson
Lainey Wilson is known as the "queen of bell bottom country" — and if you're a fellow fan of that chic hippie/glamorous boho style of hers, you may just be able to put together a Lainey Wilson Halloween costume by looking in your own closet. Start with a killer pair of bell bottoms, of course, preferably in a cool fabric like burnout velvet or gold lame?. Top off with a vintage T-shirt or a retro disco-era print top, maybe a fringed suede vest, a long blond wig, a cowgirl hat, and big dangly or hoop earrings for that perfect Lainey look.
Luke Combs
Luke Combs has been devoted to his black PFG Columbia fishing shirts since his earliest days performing in his college town of Boone, North Carolina. An avid fisherman, Combs realized that the shirts — made for wicking away wetness while out on a boat — also worked well at keeping the singer cool while performing in hot, crowded clubs. The practical shirt became his trademark, and it makes an easy and iconic centerpiece for a Luke Combs Halloween costume. Simply add a beat-up baseball cap, jeans and, for extra credit, a beard, and you're ready to go.
Orville Peck
Masks are a classic and fun part of dressing up for Halloween, so why not emulate the man who's brought wearing a mask to an entirely new level and dress up as Orville Peck? You can go for a full-on fringed mask that covers the entire bottom of your face if you want to be truly hardcore. But that might get in the way of eating and drinking, so a plain black mask in the style of the Lone Ranger also works. Add a cool cowboy hat and Western shirt, and keep people guessing your true identity all night long.
Carrie Underwood
For Carrie Underwood's clothes, you can either go casual country chic with Daisy Dukes, a cute top and a cowgirl hat, or go full Vegas glam with a sequined dress, high heels and glittering rhinestone accessories. Top it off with a blond wig that's either long and flowing or swooped up into an undo. Most importantly, carry a Louisville Slugger as a clever reference to the infamous bat from her signature song "Before He Cheats." You'll also be the star of the party if there happens to be a piñata.
Billy Ray Cyrus
Miley's dad left his '80s mullet behind long ago, but it remains a memorable and iconic look and will definitely get those achy breaky hearts beating a little faster when you rock it as a Halloween costume. Find a mullet wig with the most business in the front, party in the back Billy Ray energy possible, and wear a white tank top with several layers of necklaces. Top with an open button-down shirt in the loudest color and pattern you can find or an acid-washed jacket and matching jeans for maximum '90s realness.
Alan Jackson
Alan Jackson is another country icon with his own distinctive look that makes him a perfect candidate to channel for an amazing Halloween costume. Start with the essential white or cream cowboy hat and add a blond mustache for an instantly recognizable look. A blond mullet wig is optional but a very nice touch for that vintage Jackson charm. For Jackson-core costuming, you can go more formal with a black Western or denim shirt or go full Chattahoochee and don a colorful life jacket like you're on your way to learn a lot about livin' and a little 'bout love.
Miranda Lambert
A good Miranda Lambert costume might be waiting for you in your own closet. Try beat-up jeans and a graphic T-shirt — perhaps a "Don't Mess With Texas" top referencing her famous Texas roots or even a "Mama Tried" tribute to her famous look from the "Kerosene" video. Top with a blond wig and cowgirl hat or Willie-style bandana headband. The key addition here will be the most famous of her many tattoos — get a friend to help draw the iconic winged pistols on one arm and write "tumbleweed" in the prettiest cursive on the other, and you're ready to roll. You can even carry a metal gas can for an extra "Kerosene" touch.
