Throughout the year, Morgan has been sharing memories and photos of his son online, and July 10 was no different. A moving caption followed a family photo on Morgan's Instagram where he explains how July 10 means something different to many. But to his family, it will always be the day they lost Jerry Michael.
Jerry went missing on July 10, 2016, after a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys Country, Tenn. He was spending the day on the lake with friends when he fell into the water and never resurfaced. Rescuers recovered Greer's body the next day.
Since Jerry lost his life on the lake, Morgan told fans that there was no other place he'd rather be that day.
"Today, I'll be in the water, wishing he was me, but knowing he's with my Savior," Morgan shared.
At the time of his death, Greer was 19 years old. He had recently graduated from Dickson County High School with plans to play football at Marshall University that fall.
