Five Fun Kinds of Cremini Mushroom Recipes for Our Favorite Fungi

It seems as though mushrooms are often taken for granted. If you buy them, you usually end up throwing them away because they go bad so fast. Especially white button mushrooms, baby portobellos, and other common mushrooms. And then there are the people who see them in plain sight at the grocery store and don't even pick them up. Little did you know, there are different types of mushrooms, with cremini mushrooms (sometimes crimini mushrooms) really livening up mealtime. Don't skip on them next time.

3. Stuffed mushrooms

Although you can use any type of mushrooms for these, even portabella if you want to serve something bigger, we opt for cremini because they are the more mature version.

You'll need mushrooms, vegetable oil, minced garlic, cream cheese, parmesan cheese, pepper, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Talk about a savory flavor!

You'll need to break off the stems and create the mushroom filling with all the ingredients, and then place into the mushroom caps. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Find the full recipe here.

4. Creamy Cremini Mushroom Soup

Nothing like a nice Italian soup to end our day. This soup is a great meal for anyone looking for low-fat options. It's full of antioxidants, partly due to the fact that it's cremini we're working with.

You'll need olive oil, onion, thyme, flour, chicken broth, reduced-fat sour cream, low-fat milk, ground pepper and lemon juice. Find the full recipe here.

5. Drunken Mushrooms
