Starbucks has always allowed its customers the freedom to customize their drinks in any way they see fit. While the fun normally exists in the world of frappuccinos, this new customer-created drink is something you'll crave when you're feeling under the weather. The Medicine Ball has finally arrived onto official Starbucks menus across the nation.

Social media photos play a huge part in Starbucks' popularity, including those that show outrageous name misspellings. However, the Medicine Ball, also known as a Cold Buster, shows the power of Instagram and word-of-mouth that Starbucks relies on to interact with its customers on a more personal basis.
So what is the Medicine Ball?
It's a Venti cup filled with half hot water and half steamed lemonade with a bag of Jade Citrus Mint Tea and a bag of Peach Tranquility steeping inside.
The whole drink is finished with honey and an optional pump of peppermint, though I recommend adding for a tiny zing.
According to Fortune, a store manager reported that he and his team were making this drink, before it had an official name, about 20 times per day which makes sense for right in the middle of flu season. So he took to the Starbucks internal message boards to find out if they were creating the drink correctly.
Judging by the instant popularity, Starbucks officially decided to add it to the menu in an unprecedented one day, where now it can help you conquer your allergies and alleviate symptoms.
You can find it now on the mobile app and on store menus as they begin to reflect the change, and when you request it this time, a barista will certainly know what you're asking for.
So let this be a lesson to the power of the people! If you want something from a corporation you buy from and support, ask. Or just order it and see what happens anyways.
