Annable's role in Lioness will be that of Neil, the husband of the main character, Joe, and father of two daughters. The show centers on a team of CIA agents whose job is to infiltrate a terrorist organization and bring it down from within. According to Annable's Instagram feed, the filming wrapped in November 2022, although there hasn't been an official release date. When the show premieres, it will be available on Paramount +, where viewers can find several other Sheridan productions.

With a busy acting career, Annable manages to make time for his wife and growing family. Unlike many celebrity romances, Annable and his wife's love story is more like a Disney fairytale than a Hollywood relationship drama.

As fate would have it, Dave and Odette met while working on the show Brothers and Sisters, where they played love interests. The two were married Oct. 10, 2010, after two years of dating. Prior to getting married, Odette had been engaged to actor Trevor Wright but split in 2008. The Brothers and Sisters set was a breeding ground for love, as Dave previously dated co-star Emily VanCamp before turning his attention to Odette. To celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary, Odette wrote on Instagram, "We're just getting started my sweet and what a wild ride it already has been. Our love has been the best love- filled with passion, empathy, laughter, yes a little rage, a lot of compassion and most importantly growth ..."

Though the couple may look picture perfect from the outside, the pair did hit a rough patch in 2019. In October 2019, after nine years of marriage, the two separated, with the intent to divorce. They released a joint statement saying, "It's with heavy hearts that we have come to the mutual decision to separate at this time." In August of that year, the couple announced their reconciliation via identical Instagram posts that read, "2020. It ain't all bad news. #TheAnnables." The pair appear to still be going strong, according to their loving social media posts

Looking back on the decision to separate, Odette felt the pair became too co-dependent and had to step away from one another to learn how to make themselves happy. Odette shared that she decided to "find happiness within" and "learn how to find happiness alone with my daughter." The two were able to work on themselves and grow as parents before they reunited. Once they reunited, things became complicated, as they struggled in conceiving another child.

Dave and Odette welcomed their eldest daughter, Charlie May, in 2015. The two struggled with fertility issues, with Odette experiencing three miscarriages after Charlie was born. She shared the news of her third pregnancy loss on Instagram in 2021, writing, "NOT A PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENT..." In October 2022, Odette shared the news that she and Dave welcomed a healthy baby girl, Andersen "Andi" Lee. Odette opened up that she went though an intrauterine insemination (IUI), failed in vitro fertilization cycle, then one one successful IUI. In an interview with People, she shared, "Throughout my whole pregnancy, I told Dave, 'I feel like I know this one.' And when she came Earthside, I looked at her and I and I said, 'Oh hey, I know you, there you are.'"

As for being outnumbered in the family, Dave couldn't be happier to be a girl dad. For their second daughter's gender reveal, Dave hit a golf ball, and it exploded with hot pink powder. In the picture, he has fallen to his knees and joked that he is "outnumbered." Even with his initial reaction, he loves life with his wife and two daughters.
