It seems all good things must come to an end...even the Hallmark Channel's Home & Family. The network's popular talk show has sadly been canceled. Over the past nine seasons, the series was a six-time Daytime Emmy Award nominee and is ending this year on a record-high viewership. According to a spokesperson from Hallmark, the last season will be in an adjusted format, still led by longtime co-hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison.

"The 9th and current season of Home & Family will be the series' last," the spokesperson for the Hallmark Channel told Variety in a statement.
"For nearly a decade, the show has anchored our daytime lineup, featuring countless hours of cooking, lifestyle, DIY, health, entertaining, and decorating segments," the spokesperson said.
"We want to thank the heart and soul of the show, our incredibly talented cast and crew - led by co-hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison - for their creativity, hard work, and dedication. Our audience can look forward to more of the topical segments they know and love when the show returns on Monday, April 5 with a new one-hour, three-day-a-week format. The program's final episode airs Wednesday, August 4th."

The show originally made its morning debut in 1996 under the name The Home and Family Show. Though it was canceled after two seasons, Hallmark brought it back in 2012 where it has become a daily destination for Hallmark fans to tune in for lifestyle content as well as interviews with some of the most popular stars on the network. Over the years, everyone from Lacey Chabert to Jill Wagner has been interviewed, discussing anything from family life to upcoming movies and the holiday season. The show is also known for featuring lifestyle experts like Maria Provenzano and Lawrence Zarian to entertain viewers.
While co-host Cameron Mathison is well-known for being a leading man in numerous Hallmark movies and TV shows, Debbie Matenopoulos is a career TV personality, known for working at MTV, on ABC's The View with Barbara Walters, Fashion Police Live from the Red Carpet during the Golden Globes, E!'s The Daily 10, and more. She's even been parodied on Saturday Night Live. The Richmond, Virginia native is also a best-selling cookbook author -- It's All Greek To Me is available on Amazon, full of recipes inspired by her family's native country, Greece. She also gave a heartfelt message to fans on her Instagram after filming began for the final Home & Family season.
We're sad to see the beloved show go, but are excited to see what this means for future new programming on the Hallmark Channel!
