When CMA Fest takes over Nashville in June, Dierks Bentley will stay up late to perform an intimate show at Ryman Auditorium on June 7. During this special performance, the country star will perform his new record, The Mountain, in its entirety.

Bentley told the Tennessean that he wanted to book another show during CMA Fest to make sure he got to play his new tracks while still pleasing the big crowd at the Nissan Stadium. "I'm getting ready to go play for ... lots of people and I know what they want, they want the hits," he explained. "You only have a few (new) songs you can squeeze into your set list that feels comfortable for me and feels right for them. But I want to play them all live. The idea was to play the Ryman, which is my favorite place, during CMA Music Fest week, and just do the album top to bottom."
While Bentley is thrilled to play The Mountain, it also provides a difficult task for his band who must learn all of the new songs quickly, but the group is ready to rise to the challenge. "It's a smaller venue so it's great, just for those hardcore fans who are willing to listen to songs they don't know and want to hear them. It makes me feel less self-conscious," Bentley shared.
