Cassidy Black got plenty of cheers on the sidelines from Dierks and their three children. They showed their support by sporting t-shirts with the hashtag #CassRunsBoston17. The proud husband shared his excitement over social media, posting that her "pit crew" was ready to cheer her on.
Black first completed the marathon back in 2014. This year, Black ran to support Safe Haven, a family homeless shelter in Nashville. In 2015, Dierks featured a woman named Amy from the shelter in his video for "Riser."
Along with providing a safe place to live, Safe Haven helps find permanent housing for its residents. The organization also provides families with therapy and other skills and training to help rebuild their lives.

Cassidy finished the marathon in only three hours and 26 minutes. That means she was averaging a 7:52 mile pace. That trek helped raise an impressive $23,190 for Safe Haven. To learn more about the organization, you can visit their website here.
