The Dixie Chicks roared back onto the scene in 2016 with one of music's most successful tours. An international affair, the sold-out tour visited cities for the first time in a decade.

If you weren't one of the lucky few to snag a ticket to the MMXVI tour, you still get a chance to enjoy it. The Chicks filmed the whole thing and will release it on CD, Blu-Ray and DVD on Sept. 1.
The show carried plenty of emotional highs and lows, but one of the most powerful songs is definitely "Not Ready To Make Nice." As most people know, the Chicks wrote the Grammy-winning tune in response to backlash from an anti-war comment made in 2003.

As you can see, Dixie Chicks fans came out in full force to support the record-setting trio. The entire concert carried a super slick aesthetic, too. The black and white theme (a metaphor, of course) added to the drama of the whole set. A massive single panel video screen in the background flashed different imagery throughout the whole show.
In addition to nearly two dozen hits from their four-album career, the MMXVI tour also featured plenty of cool covers. Those include the infamous Beyoncé "Daddy Lessons" cover. The trio went on to perform that song with Beyoncé at the CMA Awards in 2016.
The Dixie Chicks' triumphant return to the world stage came after they shattered records in all genres. After the massive success of their first three albums, the chicks became the top-selling female band of all time. They also became the best-selling country group of all time. Then, their 2007 album Taking The Long Way eventually earned them five Grammys, even after the country industrial complex shunned them for making critical comments of the president in 2003.
You can pre-order the live concert now for about $22.
"Not Ready To Make Nice" Lyrics
Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I'm not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I'm still waiting
I'm through with doubt
There's nothing left for me to figure out
I've paid a price
And I'll keep paying it
I'm not ready to make nice
I'm not ready to back down
I'm still mad as hell and I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell, can't bring myself
To do what it is you think I should
I know you said
Can't you just get over it?
It turned my whole world around
And I kinda like it
I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don't mind sayin'
It's a sad, sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter sayin' that I better
Shut up and sing or my life will be over
I'm not ready to make nice
I'm not ready to back down
I'm still mad as hell and I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell, can't bring myself
To do what it is you think I should
I'm not ready to make nice
I'm not ready to back down
I'm still mad as hell and I don't have time
To go round and round and round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
Cause I'm mad as hell, can't bring myself
To do what it is you think I should
What it is you think I should
Forgive, sounds good
Forget, I'm not sure I could
They say time heals everything
But I'm still waiting
