Dr Pepper isn't the only beverage facing a soda shortage. According to Coca-Cola, some of their popular drinks have been impacted, including Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero. Some have cited aluminum cans as the primary reason for the shortage, which is also impacting brewers.
"If Pepsi and Coca-cola are seeing issues, then these small breweries, there's so many of us, and it will eventually trickle down and affect us," Taylor Lander of Birmingham, Alabama-based Avondale Brewing told Gray Television affiliate WBRC.
Hang tight, the shortage of Dr Pepper shouldn't last too long. You can always buy Dr Pepper syrup online or if that's out, you can always go the generic way and grab a bottle of Dr Thunder, Dr B, Dr Chek, Dr Choice, or Dr Perky.
