The new fries feature individual pieces of buttery croissant style donut dough tossed in cinnamon sugar are served piping hot. Starting on July 2nd, customers can buy the limited time unique donut treat with their favorite cold brew coffee drink. Donut fans and french fry lovers finally have something to share.
The creation of the new donut fries came from the Dunkin' test kitchen when the chefs were trying out some new recipes.
"We were brainstorming in one of our Culinary Innovation sessions," says Rick Golden, the Manager of Donut Excellence who created Donut Fries. "We tested different kinds of dough, adding cinnamon and sugar for the right amount of crisp. The end result is delicious. They are sharable. They are fun. And they bring together two of America's favorites. What's not to love?"
The treat had a test run in Boston and before long social media was begging for the donut fries to be available nationwide.
So of course, Dunkin' listened. Costumers can enjoy 5 donuts fries for the small price of only $2.
While driving thru make sure to check out some of Dunkin's newest offerings, a brown sugar cold brew, the chocolate coconutty donut and the shark bite donut. The cold brew features a naturally sweetened brown sugar syrup and is prepared with DD's own cold brew concentrate. Regarding the donuts, the chocolate coconutty donut features a creamy coconut filling, chocolate icing and crumbled shortbread cookies. And let's not forget the shark bite donut which features white icing and shark sprinkles.
