Lainey Wilson is serving as an opener on a select number of shows on Eric Church's Outsiders Revival Tour this summer, and at a recent show at The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, Alabama, Wilson joined Church onstage for a special performance.

In video shared by fans who attended the show, Wilson was called back to the stage during Church's set for a rendition of his tune "Over When It's Over" from his Chief album. Wilson added harmony and her own elements to the song, which are usually provided by Church's former and longtime backup singer, Joanna Cotten. The two infused plenty of energy into the heartbreak song, and they stopped mid-tune while the crowd went wild over the collaboration. Church then finished out the song while Wilson joined in for the final note.

Fans were blown away by the collaboration, with many sharing that Church and Wilson are their dream combo. In the comments on a post from Wilson about the weekend, one fan wrote, "Chief x Lainey is the combo we knew we needed and now we got it." Another wrote, "Two of my favorite humans!"
In another social media post, Wilson shared video from her time on the road with Church. In the clip, Church calls Wilson "one of my favorite artists that's out right now."
"When the Chief asks you to play, it's not a question but a heck of an honor," Wilson wrote alongside the post. "Thank you @ericchurchmusic for introducing us to your fans. I'd say we had a pretty dang good time. Thank ya Orange Beach for making this past weekend one to remember!"
Wilson plays one last show with Church on Aug. 24 before hitting the road on Hardy's The Mockingbird and the Crow Tour throughout the late summer and fall. Jelly Roll, Hailey Whitters, Whiskey Myers and more will join Church's tour throughout the fall.
