The song is the first release from Outlaw's sophomore album Tenderheartout April 14 on Six Shooter Records. The video, featuring home movies of his wife and son interspersed with scenes from life on the road, captures what inspired the album.

Outlaw spoke with Rolling Stone Country last month and elaborated on the album title and his own approach to making honest country music.

"I always found more honesty in the tenderness than the toughness," Outlaw explained. "I very much intentionally wanted to combat any expectation that I'm trying to be a tough guy country singer."

"Everyone's Looking For Home," which features a symphonic mix of strings and mariachi horns, isn't tough. It's just plain beautiful.

Tenderheart is the much-anticipated follow up to Outlaw's 2015 album Angeleno, which won praise for its blend of classic honky tonk, west coast country and mariachi music. Angeleno was co-produced by Outlaw and Los Angeles music legend Ry Cooder.

Outlaw co-produced Tenderheart, which was recorded in the San Fernando Valley with Martin Pradler.
