Here are five head-turning looks since last Saturday (July 22).
Brandi Carlile has consistently challenged gender fashion norms —on red carpets and concert stages— with an array of pants suits and neckties. On Monday (July 24) at Pink's Summer Carnival in Toronto, Carlile wore a baby blue ensemble that pairs seamlessly with a simple white top. Best of all, you don't need a stylist to copy this look. Different yet no less daring pants suits can be found via a variety of retailers, with Solove Dress offering this Carlile-worthy look for $89. For something even more wallet-friendly, check out Shein's baby blue blazer and pants set. Priscilla Block rocked a posh yet practical look on Sunday (July 23) at Country Thunder Wisconsin. Short jorts and sunglasses help beat the heat and weather the sun at any outdoor festival— thus, both elements probably weren't uncommon to spot in the crowd. An airbrushed top that screams Myrtle Beach adds another summery element to a simple yet stylish outfit. Indie rock fashion plate Jenny Lewis chose a timeless look for Wednesday's (July 26) taping of Austin City Limits. Had Grease's Sandy Olsson beat Elvis Presley to the '68 Comeback Special punch, she might've looked a lot like Lewis does here. If anyone in country music should consider launching their own clothing line, it's Ashley McBryde. After all, her rocker-at-heart outfits are as appealing as her Brandy Clark-esque gift at casting an entire small town in a three-minute country song. For her Sunday (July 23) set at Country Thunder Wisconsin, McBryde wore all black once again. Her half-sleeveless top flaunts one of the tattoo sleeves that's also a key element of her take no prisoners while saying "bless your heart" aesthetic. Though clearly we appreciate stars with closets full of different looks, it's no less commendable or calculated for an artist to pick a style that works for them. This approach to fashion works for everyone from Luke Combs and Joan Jett to Country Music Hall of Fame shoo-in Tim McGraw. For a surprise gig on Monday (July 24) at Hollywood's Whisky A Go Go, McGraw stuck with the black cowboy hat and clothes that flaunt his physique combo that's as synonymous with him as his catalog of hits.Brandi Carlile
