These New Ford Bronco Concepts Are Getting us Excited for 2020

There's a lot of buzz around the new Ford Bronco, slated for release in 2020-21. Ford hasn't released any official images of the new Bronco or how it may differ from the original Bronco, but we luckily we've found the next best thing.

On Tuesday, Bronco6g.com released a new set of Ford Bronco concept images for the four-door Bronco based on insider info about the vehicle's design. Last year, their impressive renderings of the two-door model went viral.

Bronco6g also says Raj Nair, the new chief of Ford's North American operations, has confirmed the 2020 Bronco will be comparable in size to the new Ford Ranger, which is currently sold outside of North America. The forum believes that's a solid indicator that Ford will sell the Bronco in a four-door version.

Automotive News reported that the same manufacturer who makes the solid axels for the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Dana, has stated that they will supply driveline parts for the Bronco and the Ranger.

In an exciting move for Michigan, Ford related in a press release in March that they'll be investing 1.2 Billion in three Michigan assembly plants to build the new Bronco and Ranger. That's in addition to the 700 new jobs Ford is adding to their Flatrock facility, outside Detroit. The Detroit auto industry should take a fairly nice uptick from this investment.

In January Bronco6g has it that the new Ford Bronco might feature an air roof - a four or six panel removable roof that can be disassembled and stored in the trunk.

The following concepts blend rugged off-road capability with looks that would comfortably fit in an urban setting.

From the website: "The 3/4 rear view shows off the boxy silhouette and straight edged, upright greenhouse with hard retro lines and signature parallelogram-shaped rear side windows and back glass anchored by a higher belt line and tall tailgate. The large protruding rectangular taillights are a modern take on that from the original Bronco."

According to the website's sources, the new model will have a removable "air roof." Bronco6g.com
