Hands down, two of the most powerful moments on Johnny Cash: Forever Words are the introduction and subsequent duet. And now you can get all emotional not just hearing them, but watching them as well.

On the brief intro "Forever / I Still Miss Someone," Kris Kristofferson reads a brief poem by the late Johnny Cash. Oh, and Willie Nelson accompanies with nylon string guitar in the background. It's a powerful opener from two of Cash's most dear friends.
Immediately after, Ruston Kelly and Kacey Musgraves sing a duet called "To June This Morning." Cash wrote the poem as an ode to his wife June Carter one 1970 morning as she descended the stairs, eight months pregnant with their son John. Musgraves and Kelly put the words to music for the recent tribute album.
In the video, the newlyweds (who at the time weren't married) appear very much in love. Nelson and Kristofferson also appear at the beginning. They filmed the clip at the remains of Johnny Cash's home in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

According to a press release, Kelly's version of the song actually predates the whole project. He first read "To June This Morning" as a teenager. And that's when he started composing the ballad based off the lyrics.
John Carter Cash co-produced the project. "To me, the essences of the tracks...are both of hope," he says in a press release. "My father wrote the poem 'Forever' weeks before his passing. 'To June This Morning' has the same hope; the words were written in February of 1970, one month before my birth. Together they represent Dad's enduring hopes, the beauty of faith and the belief in all the good to come...even in the face of his own mortality."
Johnny Cash: Forever Words received rave reviews and near universal praise upon its release last week.
