French Onion Dip
This French Onion Dip is reminiscent to the classic French Onion soup served with caramelized onions and topped with bubbly cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 2 onions, diced
- 2 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonaise
- 1 1/4 cups grated Parmesean cheese
- 1 cup grated gruyere cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400ºF and grease a baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the butter and onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl combine the onions, cream cheese, mayonaise, and Parmesan cheese. Top with grated gruyere cheese and bake until the cheese is hot and melted, about 25 minutes. Serve.
Notes
Serve with crackers, french bread, or vegetables.
Keep an eye on the dip, making sure it doesn't curdle in the oven.
