How to Throw the Best Galentine's Day Party

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. If you're happily taken, this is a great day to celebrate with that special someone. Even if you happen to not be in a committed relationship, there are still reasons to celebrate. Thanks to Leslie Knope (played by Amy Poehler) of Parks and Recreation, she planned a day to celebrate with your best lady friends. February 13th is the day to ditch the men in your life for just one day and gather with your best gals pals for a Galentine's Day Party. Make a playlist, eat a bunch of food, drink some cocktails, have a slumber party, whatever you and your girlfriends want to do. Just keep in mind to celebrate each other and your friendship!

Our Menu for the Best Galentine's Day Party

Cocktails

Pomegranate Kombucha Mimosa

What could be better than some bubbly mimosas? On top of being full of flavor from the champagne, orange juice and pomegranate seeds, kombucha is also added in, which is a great probiotic drink. Just looking out for your besties, right? Get the recipe here.

Cucumber Delight Cocktail

Sit back, cover up with a face mask and sip on this refreshing cocktail during your Galentine's Day bash. The crisp flavor from the cucumber vodka and fizzy bubbles from the sparkling water makes this the perfect recipe for a very important celebration. Get the recipe here.

Appetizers

Charcuterie Board

Cheese, meat, roasted vegetables, dips and spreads, what could be better? Putting a charcuterie board together is not only impressive, but super simple. Gather a bunch of your favorite ingredients and arrange on a rusitc cutting board or plate. You won't disappoint your best friends.

Bacon-Wrapped Avocado Bites

Only two ingredients? Yes, please! All you need for this simple brunch inspired appetizer is bacon and avocados. Cut up chunks of avocado, wrap in salty bacon and bake until the bacon is nice and crisp.

Main Dish

Creamy Prosciutto and Asparagus Frittata

Frittata isn't just for brunch. Make an entrée out of it at your next soirée. You'll get healthy vegetables like tomatoes, mushrooms, and asparagus in there along with meaty, salty prosciutto. Get the recipe here.

Salad

Israeli Couscous with Pistachios, Apricots and Cranberries

Salads and vegetables might be a big no-no to Leslie Knope, so instead of piling up on the greens, swap it for this perfect couscous salad. Loaded with dried fruits, pistachios, mint and a sweet honey-Dijon dressing, you and your gal pals will love this healthy side dish.

This is also a great make-ahead dish, which means less time in the kitchen, too! Get the recipe here.

Dessert

Snickerdoodle Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches

I think we can all agree with Leslie that waffles are an important part of life. Take regular waffles to the next level by adding a scoop of ice cream in between two waffles.

The perfect way to combine breakfast and dessert at your Galentine's Day bash.  Get the recipe here.

Boozy Slow Cooker Chocolate Fondue

It wouldn't be Valentine's Day if there wasn't chocolate involved. Fondue is a fun dessert to make for your next get together. Toss all of the fondue ingredients into the slow cooker, spike it with a little booze and serve after dinner to end the best day of the year.
