Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, former first lady Rosalynn Carter, recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on July 7. Country superstars Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood had a special gift to honor such a big anniversary for the Carters and no, it didn't have anything to do with country music.

Jill Stuckey, a close friend of Jimmy and his wife Rosalynn, told People that the two country singers showed up at the Carters big anniversary party in their hometown of Plains, Georgia, with a seriously cool classic car -- a red convertible that was built in 1946, the same year the couple tied the knot. Though the car showed up a few days before the big star-studded party on July 10, the secret service agents hid it from the couple until it was time for the big reveal. Apparently, they were incredibly excited about their gift.

"Bright eyes and big smiles and ... very excited time, but there was so much special [about the day] because the people that were here from all aspects of their lives," said Stuckey.
The anniversary bash, held at Plains High School, had a guest list of 300 with notable names including democrats Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Turner, representatives from Habitat for Humanity, as well as friends from their days in the White House. Following a toast from their son Chip at the event, Mrs. Carter spoke saying that her life "has been an adventure" since meeting and marrying the former President.
"It's wonderful to celebrate with so many friends. It's just so good to have you all here and I thank you for making it a good evening, a good time for us to be here and to be with friends we care about very much," she said.
President Carter spoke briefly as well. "To my wife Rosalynn, I want to express a particular gratitude for being the right woman that I chose for my wife," he said.
