News came earlier this year that Garth Brooks would be headlining the 2018 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It will mark the first time since 1993 that the legendary artist would hit the Houston Rodeo stage. So, fans were understandably in a fuss over the announcement.
Ticket sales for the event were originally going to be available on Sept. 9. However, Hurricane Harvey upended those plans. With Houston ravaged by Harvey, the rodeo could not in good conscience sell the Garth Brooks tickets when initially planned. Rodeo president Joel Cowley made the decision to postpone the sale date until further notice.
"While we are all excited for the 2018 Garth Brooks performances, our main focus at this time is to support our fans and our community during the rebuilding process," said Cowley.
However, as of today, the rodeo has announced a new sale date for the tickets. On Friday, Dec. 1, country music fans can finally order tickets to see Garth Brooks at the 2018 Houston Stock Show and Rodeo.
Brooks will perform on Feb. 28 and Mar. 18. Over 20,000 tickets will be available for the event at the NRG Stadium, but fans should expect them to go fast.
