According to Rolling Stone Country, Cindy Frey has sued Mount Sinai Hospital and Dr. Steven Itzkowitz, the gastroenterologist who treated Glenn Frey for ulcerative colitis and other health issues. Frey was under the care of Itzkowitz and Mount Sinai from October to November 2015. During that time, the suit alleges that not enough was done to "promptly and properly treat" Frey's ulcerative colitis.
"As a result of the foregoing acts of negligence, Glenn Frey was rendered sick, lame and disabled, suffered injuries, pain, mental anguish, was compelled to seek medical care and attention, incurred expenses thereof, and was permanently injured and disabled until the time of his death," the suit reads.
There has been no public comment on the suit by Glenn Frey's widow, Mount Sinai Hospital or Dr. Steven Itzkowitz.

The news of the suit comes just one day before the second anniversary of Glenn Frey's death. He passed away on Jan. 18, 2016 at the age of 67.
Although the Eagles originally planned on splitting up for good after Frey's death, they returned to the road last year. Country star Vince Gill and Frey's son, Deacon, have joined the lineup to help keep Glenn's legacy alive.
