"Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think this girl right here from Orange County would have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," Stefani said during her acceptance speech. "It just doesn't make sense to me."
In what's got to be an intentional move, Stefani wore a sequined Christian Cowan minidress with a clear night's sky worth of glistening, silver stars on its hem and the bottom of its long sleeves. Metallic slouch boots add another layer of cosmic glam.
Husband and fellow recent Walk of Fame addition Blake Shelton praised Stefani during the ceremony, both as a loving parent of three and a music icon.
"It was clear to me that she was a mother, first and foremost, over anything else in the world. That was her number one job," Shelton said about one of his first impressions of his future wife. "But today, it's nice to see her honored for her side project, which is being one of the biggest stars in the world."
Shelton and Stefani first met when Stefani became a coach on "The Voice" in 2014. They officially became a couple in the fall of 2015 after going through divorces from their former spouses. They said "I do" in a ceremony at Shelton's Oklahoma ranch on July 3, 2021. The couple wed in an intimate chapel Shelton built for the special day, and another connection made on the show, host Carson Daly, officiated the wedding.
Sefani's current "The Voice" co-star Reba McEntire was among the family's guests on Thursday. McEntire replaced Shelton as the series' country music representative after he stepped away following a 23-season run.
