Hailey Kinsel just broke the arena record for barrel racing.
The 22-year-old rider was competing in the Wrangler National Finals in Las Vegas on Saturday, Dec. 9 when she broke the arena record for barrel racing by .26 seconds in round three.
The previous record of 13.37 seconds was jointly held by Taylor Jacob and Amberleigh Moore.
According to Barrel Horse News, Kinsel was riding a six-year-old mare named Sissy Hayday.
"If I hadn't seen it I don't think I would have believed it," she said in the interview above. "It didn't feel that fast, but it was good, I guess."
Kinsel split the $1 million prize with two other riders and walked away with $167,000.
Kinsel is from Cotulla, Texas, which is a small town about an hour southwest of San Antonio with less than 5,000 residents.
