Of all the Hallmark stars who have paired up offscreen, Chelsea Hobbs and James Neate are our latest obsession. Hobbs, who stars in "Navigating Christmas," premiering Friday, Nov. 17 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel, has been married to actor-producer James Neate since 2020. Together, the couple share two children. Neate is also a stepfather to Hobbs' two children from a previous marriage. You might recognize Chelsea Hobbs' husband from shows like "Chesapeake Shores" or "The 100."

Chelsea Hobbs, 38, is basically Hallmark royalty. She made her debut in the network's 2002 hit "Snow Queen," which earned her a Leo Award nomination. She went on to star in films like "Lords of Dogtown" and shows like ABC's "Make It or Break It" before returning to Hallmark in 2014's "The Nine Lives of Christmas." Since then, the Canadian-born actress has appeared in Countdown to Christmas flicks like "The Picture of Christmas" and the network's first-ever LGBTQ-led holiday romance, "The Holiday Sitter."
In 2020, Hobbs married James Neate, a Canadian actor-producer who appeared in Hallmark's "Chesapeake Shores." Most recently, Neate has appeared in TV series including "The Man In the High Castle," "Prison Break" and "The 100."
Outside of her Hallmark career, Hobbs is a busy mother of four. She and Neate share two children: a son, Jones (3), and a daughter, Lucy (1). Hobbs was married to photographer Teren Oddo from 2007-2014, with whom she shares a daughter, Wylie (17), and a son, Kingston (12).
On Mother's Day 2023, Hobbs shared a sweet snap of her kiddos. Despite sometimes feeling "stretched thin," she wrote in the caption, being a mom is her "favourite role."
The actress is open about her family life, often posting loved-up snaps with her brood. And as Chelsea Hobbs' husband, James Neate gets plenty of Instagram love, too. Fans pour into the comments section to praise the way in which the couple has seamlessly built a loving, blended family. In Feb. 2023, Hobbs took to Instagram to pay special tribute to Neate on his birthday:
"I'm so proud of what you've built with your hands, and with your heart this last year," she wrote alongside a video montage of Neate with their children. "Every year writing a tribute to you gets harder, because my love for you gets deeper than what I can put into words. Just thank you for loving me and us all, and continuing to be your best self. I love you."
