Country music pioneer Hank Williams may have passed away when he was 29 years old, but his legacy has lived on through the generations. On Thursday, Sept. 21 — which would have been Williams' 100th birthday — a wide range of country artists and Williams' grandchildren are gathering to celebrate the singer's life.

The special show, dubbed Hank's 100th: A Concert in Celebration of Hank Williams, presented by Spotify, will take place at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tenn. on Sept. 21. The event will feature performances from singers Suzy Bogguss, Laura Cantrell, Rodney Crowell, Della Mae, S.G. Goodman, Brennen Leigh, Delbert McClinton, Chuck Mead and Wendy Moten. Additionally, Williams' grandchildren Hilary Williams, Holly Williams and Sam Williams will perform rendition of their grandfather's classics. Country Music Hall of Fame members Charlie McCoy and Connie Smith will also be on hand to perform music by the legendary singer.
With hits like "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Hey Good Lookin,'' "Lovesick Blues" and more, Williams was one of the most influential country singer-songwriters of the 20th century. Williams' son Hank Williams Jr. has continued carrying the torch his father lit in country music, and so are his grandchildren. Sam, specifically, is an active musician, having shared his latest release in March 2023. In August, Sam revealed he will release his own rendition of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" on Sept. 15.
