How to Make Hostess Cupcakes at Home
While it's a little more work than going to the store and picking up a box, making your own Hostess Cupcakes at home is a fun and nostalgic project. This recipe features a dark chocolate cupcake filled with a marshmallow creme filling (yum!) topped with a creamy ganache frosting.
Bake the cupcakes and let them cool. Prepare the marshmallow filling by combining marshmallow creme, butter, and powdered sugar, and fill the cooled cakes using a cookie cutter to remove a small portion of the cake. Fill, and replace the top of the cake and frost with the chocolate ganache. Decorate with white icing and serve.
