Hoyt, a 32 year old nurse and the head of nonprofit The Radiant Initiative, told People that Saddlewoods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee was her "dream venue."

The couple wrote their own vows for each other as well as Macy, Hoot's 5 year old daughter he shares with ex-wife Jessica Lynn Steele. Hoot also performed "Hallelujah," his co-write with songwriters Kyndon Oakes, Renn and Lee Turner, during the ceremony.

"I got very emotional reading my vows to both Brittney and Macy and then singing a song to my soon-to-be wife talking about my journey with her," Hoot told People.

Hoot and Hoyt first met eight years ago at a best friend's wedding. They were both wedding singers, performing NewSong's "When God Made You." Per People, Hoyt's sister Briley and brother Joseph brought it all full circle by singing the same song during communion.

The couple's first dance was to a Hoot co-write inspired by Hoyt, "And Then Suddenly."

Hoot and Hoyt reconnected a few years later while on a mission trip in Nicaragua, with Hoot popping the question last September.

By now, the newlyweds are likely on a beach in Cancun.

Hoot spent part of childhood in the Dominican Republic with his missionary parents. He went on to play college football at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville.

The winner of NBC's 17th season of The Voice sang Luke Combs' "When It Rains It Pours" during his blind audition. It landed him a still-active mentorship with fellow country music fan and future duet partner Kelly Clarkson.

His Love Out of Time EP was released in January.
