Texas-native Jamie Foxx paid tribute to home state hero George Strait during a 2009 CBS Artist of the Decade special with a cover of the King of Country music that serves as a reminder of the "sexiness of George Strait's music."

Foxx, who previously released the albums Intuition, Best Night of My LifeHollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses and more, addressed the country singer before performing a steamy version of Strait's 1983 hit.

"I'm going through some things with my girl right now. So I had to take a page from you. I pulled her to the side and said listen, 'I know somebody else is talking to you right now. I know you're entertaining some other guys but I just want to say this to you,'" Foxx said, before launching into "You Look So Good In Love."

The crowd, including Strait, who can be seen grinning from ear to ear, loved it.

The 2009 special also included performances from Dierks BentleyBrooks and DunnFaith Hill, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.

"You Look So Good in Love," written by Glen Ballard, Rory Bourke and Kerry Chater, was the lead single from Strait's album Right or Wrong.

It turns out Foxx is a huge fan of country music. In 2015, he told People that he loves to sing country music in the shower.

"Sometimes I'll sing country music - I know it sounds weird. I love to sing that Miranda Lambert song ["The House That Built Me"], and the way it echoes is really dope," Foxx said.

The Academy Award-winning actor previously collaborated with Rascal Flatts on the 2007 song "She Goes All The Way." Foxx was once roommates with Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox when the two both lived in California.
