Jason Aldean's Maskless Family Photo From Disney World Draws Criticism

Country music star Jason Aldean's been in the news lately for something other than the quality of current single "Blame It On You." Instead, Jason, his wife Brittany and the rest of the family (their son Memphis and daughter Navy and Aldean's older daughters Kendyl and Keeley) have been heavily criticized for a group photo taken at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom in which no one's wearing a protective face mask.

"Perfect day with my whole crew today at Walt Disney World. There is nothing like seeing your kids faces when u walk in that place," Aldean wrote in the photo's caption. The picture and all comments have since been deleted.

Though Aldean insisted online that his family "had mask(s) on ALLLLLLL DAAAAAAAYY except when we took this pic," some social media users have remained negative about the Aldean's maskless family photo.

Many cried foul about the Orlando, Florida amusement park not enforcing its mask policy.

"They're called rules for a reason. Disney COVID guidelines clearly state you cannot take your mask off at any point unless you are stationary AND actively eating and/or drinking. You cannot take off your mask for a quick photo. If we can't, he shouldn't be exempt from the rules," one person wrote, as quoted by Fox News.

Aldean responded to one complaint by claiming that Disney Parks showed no preferential treatment toward his celebrity family.

"Chill out lady. They are in our pocket," Aldean wrote, as shared by Taste of Country. "We took them off for 5 seconds to take the pic. Believe me, Disney didn't give us a 'free pass' not to wear them. We had them on all day just like everybody else."

Disney World's mask policy during the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic states that "Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you should be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing."
