In an Instagram post featuring a lovely panoramic view of Texas Hill Country, Jester King Brewery announced their acquisition of another 107 acres of land with the purchase of the rest of the Ceres Park Ranch. The new parcel includes the Ceres Park Ranch Event Center and Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza, the restaurant that sits next door to the brewery.
The purchase brings the total amount of land belonging to the brewery to 165 acres. The Jester King founders have been clear in the past, and again with this announcement, that part of their goal as a company is to preserve green space in the area outside Austin, keeping it free from residential development. This additional land supports that goal.

As they said in the announcement:
"We're very happy that this land will not fall prey to encroaching residential development. Green space is becoming increasingly fleeting on the outskirts of Austin, and aside from agriculture, our land will not be developed. It will remain a beautiful place for people to enjoy long into the future."
They emphasized that nothing will change at Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza right now, except that Jester King beer will now be available at the restaurant.
Having the Ceres Park Ranch Event Center will allow the brewery to offer a location for weddings and other special events, something they didn't have the space for before. They plan to open it up for bookings later this year.
In addition to the brewery, Jester King has a three acre vineyard on site, as well as a hopyard, pumpkin patch, and peach orchard. And goats — lots of adorable goats that you can see during their farm tours offered every Saturday at 2 p.m.
