Joanna Gaines Found the Most Adorable Christmas Tree Disposal Service — Her Goats!

A barnyard Christmas.

Packing away the Christmas decorations every year is no easy feat — especially if your Christmas tree comes with as many bits and bobs as Joanna Gaines'. Luckily, the Magnolia mogul and "Fixer Upper" star had some hungry friends on-hand to devour her massive tree: The goats on her Texas farm.

In a Dec. 29 Instagram video, Joanna Gaines showed the arduous process of hauling out her family's massive Christmas tree. The clip shows three people carrying the undecorated tree out of the house, then cuts to the tree lying on the ground outside. A herd of goats comes along and eagerly begins eating at the branches.

"Mama sad but goats are very glad," Gaines captioned the video.

The scene is a fitting end to Chip and Joanna Gaines' farmhouse Christmas. The couple transformed their Waco, Texas ranch—where they live with their five children—into holiday central, chronicling the process on Instagram.

In a Nov. 2023 video, the couple swapped the massive, fiddle-leaf fig tree in their living room with an equally huge Christmas pine strung with lights and multi-colored ornaments. Joanna Gaines wrote in the caption, "Mama likes big trees."

The interior design maven shared additional snaps of her 2023 country Christmas. She strung her fireplace mantel with a pine cone garland and red and green stockings courtesy of Magnolia Market, her shopping complex in downtown Waco.

Chip and Joanna Gaines had much to be thankful for at the close of 2023. In October, the couple celebrated the 20th anniversary of Magnolia, the lifestyle brand which they launched back in 2003. To mark the milestone, they threw a massive party at Magnolia Market — after which Joanna issued a heartfelt thank-you to their fans:

"Here's to 20 years of Magnolia," she wrote in an Instagram post. "Back in 2003, we could have never dreamed of any of this. Grateful for the wonderful memories, the mistakes and mishaps, and all the miracles along the way. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us."
