"I wrote this song with three of my buddies out of Nashville," shared Brown. "We were just like 'you know, it would be a great day when everybody could just see the beautiful in the world... we're all a little different, but we're all just different types of beautiful. So we just wrote a song about it. When everything started coming out in the media, we felt like it was time to release it. Our fans were asking for it. I couldn't ask for it to come out any better than it did."
In addition to winning the ACM Award for music video of the year, Brown was also nominated for Album of the Year for Mixtape Vol. 1, the first time for a Black artist. When asked what it would mean for him to win, the singer admitted that it would be incredibly special.

"It would mean the world to me. Especially after the year we've had. I feel like a lot of artists have been down on themselves from just all of the craziness so for me to be recognized is amazing, for me to win, I would be to the moon."
Brown has a busy year ahead of him as he embarks on his Blessed & Free Tour which will stop at all 29 NBA arenas around the country. Kane will be the first artist to ever accomplish this on one tour and is already excited to see the NBA talent up close.
A total of four Black artists are nominated at the 2021 ACM Awards -- Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton, Kane Brown, and John Legend for a duet with Carrie Underwood. Other nominees include Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Eric Church, Thomas Rhett, Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Gabby Barrett, Maren Morris, and more.
Keith Urban and Mickey Guyton will be hosting the awards which will be broadcast from the Grand Ole Opry House, the Ryman Auditorium, and the Bluebird Cafe.
