"Loved seeing the first episodes finally air last night of Special Ops: Lioness! When Nic told me that Taylor Sheridan had a story he wanted to do w/ her, I knew it would be extraordinary - and sure enough - I love this series. Huge props to the whole cast - check it out now on Paramount+ !!!!!!! Love you babygirl"

In the series, which is centered on "a young Marine who is recruited to befriend a terrorist's daughter to bring the organization down from the inside," Kidman portrays senior CIA operative Kaitlyn Meade. But the legendary film star says she was initially wary of accepting the role.

"I've never done this," the Emmy-winning star told Deadline. "It was espionage and action."

Thankfully, Kidman signed on to star alongside Zoe Saldana, Morgan Freeman, LaMonica Garrett, Dave Annable, Laysla De Oliveira, Jill Wagner (who also serves as co-creator) and more.

The show — which premiered July 23 on Paramount+ with two one-hour episodes — is executive-produced by Sheridan, Wagner, David Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and David Hutkin. Kidman and her production company Blossom Films are also executive-producing the project.

Kidman and Urban frequently show up to support one another in public. In June, Urban brought Kidman onstage during his residency in Las Vegas, calling her a "sunshine hippie" — a reference to a line in his 2016 song "Worry 'Bout Nothin'."

Urban also celebrated his wife on her birthday, writing, "To my gorgeous, sexy, adventurous, curious, nature loving, owl spotting, artist, wife: happy birthday baby!!!!!!"

The pair also turned up at the 2023 Oscars, when the couple brought along Sam Rechner, an Australian actor who starred in Steven Spielberg's Oscar-nominated The Fabelmans. (Rechner is the son of Kidman's best friend.)

Just a couple months after they turned heads at the Academy Awards, Kidman joined Urban on the red carpet for the 2023 ACM Awards.
