The numbers are in and Kenny Chesney's new album, Song for the Saints, is officially a hit. The record immediately reached No. 1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart and earned an impressive No. 2 spot on Billboard's 200 chart (which spans all genres). Additionally, the album sold over 64,600 copies, and 77,300 including streaming services, bringing the record to No. 1 on the new album sales chart.

Chesney truly poured his heart into the record after watching Hurricane Irma tear through the Caribbean and devastate the Virgin Islands, his second home after Tennessee. All of the proceeds from the album will filter into his Love For Love City fund, which he started to help rebuild the islands. This makes the record's success so much sweeter.
"This album means the world to me, because of what it's about and what it means to the people of the Virgin Islands," Chesney said in a statement. "A lot of who I am is because of the time I've spent down there, and how it's shaped the man I've become. It's how I see the world, and how my music has evolved. So the fact No Shoes Nation has supported this record - a record where all the proceeds go to island recovery - does my heart good."

While the album is only his first release through Blue Chair/Warner Bros. Nashville after leaving Sony, Song for the Saints marks the 16th time Chesney has reached the no. 1 spot on the Top Country Albums chart. He only has one more album to go before he ties with legends Willie Nelson and Garth Brooks who both have 17 No. 1's on the coveted country music chart.
Song for the Saints's first single, "Get Along," soared to No. 1 when it was released in July, introducing fans to the meaningful record. To reflect the sense of community Chesney feels when he visits his beloved St. John, the album features collaborations with Mindy Smith ("Better Boat"), Ziggy Marley ("Love for Love City") and Jimmy Buffett ("Trying to Reason With Hurricane Season") and was co-produced by Buddy Cannon.
