I don't know about you, but I have more silverware, and cooking utensils than I know what to do with, and my drawers are stuffed full to the point where they can be tough to open. I recently bought a kitchen utensil holder to keep all the kitchen tools I use more frequently out on the countertop, so I wouldn't have to fuss with the drawer if I was in a hurry while cooking, and it's been amazing so far! It's one of those kitchen accessories that I can't imagine I ever lived without.
Kitchen organization can be overwhelming, we have so much kitchenware, like our cutting boards, dinnerware, cookware, plus all the other flatware and gadgets, and such a limited space to keep it all. These utensil organizers are a great way to increase your kitchen storage, especially if you have a small space.
Cleaning Tips for Utensil Holders
Don't put wet utensils in your utensil holder. Water can drip from the utensils, causing bacteria to build at the bottom of your new utensil holder. (That just gives me the ick.) Be sure to air dry them on a drying rack or dishwasher.
If you've been letting your utensils dry in your current one and are noticing the gross mildewy build-up, you can rinse it out and clean it with vinegar and Dawn.
Feel free to also sanitize it with a small amount of bleach and water. Some utensil holders are dishwasher safe or can be safely hand washed. Just be sure to do it often to prevent stains and build-up.
