The memorable duet happened during the Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson tribute concert in Nashville in March 2016. Other artists who performed include Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Jessi Colter, Reba McEntire, Jamey Johnson and more.
Both Kristofferson (81) and Nelson (84) are in the later years of their lives and careers. Still, the pair bring everything they have to each and every song. You can watch the full performance of Kristofferson's trademark tune below.
During the night's festivities, Kristofferson and Nelson were also joined by Shooter Jennings and Jamey Johnson to perform The Highwaymen's hit song "Highwayman." Other guest performers put their own spin on Kristofferson's most well-known cuts, including "Help Me Make It Through the Night" and "Me and Bobby McGee."
