Kristin Chenoweth Wears Stunning Pink Wedding Dress as She Weds Josh Bryant

“Simple and elegant," Chenoweth says of her look.

Kristin Chenoweth married her fiancé Josh Bryant in a wedding ceremony in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, Sept. 2. People shared exclusive details from the event, including about Chenoweth's stunning gown. Designed by Pamella Roland, the dress featured a subtle pink color adorned with pearls and a billowing bow on the back. Chenoweth told the publication that she purposely chose to wear a non-white gown.

"Simple and elegant," she says of her look. "I never thought I'd get married, so I went very nontraditional with the gown. I love it."

Chenoweth expanded upon her previous belief that she would never get married, saying she has been a "self-proclaimed bachelorette" her whole life.

"I was never going to get married. I even got engaged before and couldn't do it. Until I met Josh," she said. "Then I was like, 'Why would I ever let this guy go?' I'm so blessed."

Chenoweth made sure every aspect of her wedding look portrayed her true self, which is something she says was incredibly important to her.

"On that day, I want to look and feel like Kristin, and I want Josh to see the girl that he has been with for five years," she told People. "I'm going to look glamorous and all that, but my hair isn't going to be up to heaven, even though we'll be in Texas. It's going to look like me."

Bryant complemented Chenoweth in a J Crew gray suit with Prada belt and shoes.

According to the publication, the ceremony incorporated their Christian faith, but Chenoweth cautioned, "I am not saying 'obey!'" A rendition of "The Prayer" was performed by Marissa Rosen, Crystal Monee Hall, Nikki Kimbrough and Melinda Doolittle. It was arranged and accompanied by  Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Chenoweth's music director.

Fellow musicians Ty Herndon and Toby Freeman also performed "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" in a very special moment on the day: the couple's first dance. Bryant added that a "jam session" may have broken out during the reception as well.

The wedding featured Southern-inspired cuisine, and guests sipped on fun cocktails, including the "Wicked Margarita," in honor of Chenoweth's time starring in Broadway's Wicked.

Chenoweth met Bryan, a guitarist, in 2016 when his band Backroad Anthem performed at a family wedding. They met at a second family wedding two years later when the band performed again. They began dating in 2018, and they became engaged in October 2021. Of finding her forever with Bryant, Chenoweth simply says "it was the right time."

"God knew what he was doing with that," she adds. "Josh is 14 years younger than me, and I thought that was ridiculous. I'm never going to do that in my life, ever. But he's made me feel very confident and beautiful and loved at any age."
