The couple made a joint appearance at the 2023 CMA Awards held at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday. They strolled down the red carpet hand-in-hand before the ceremony, where Wilson stood out as the most-nominated artist, receiving recognition in nine categories.
The "Heart Like a Truck" singer donned a striking black strapless jumpsuit with wide-flare legs adorned with black satin ruffles. She complemented her ensemble with a cowboy hat and statement jewelry. On the other hand, the former NFL player, now a real estate agent, looked dashing in an all-black suit paired with a matching cowboy hat.
Wilson electrified the audience with a passionate rendition of her newest single, "Wildflowers and Wild Horses," at the ceremony. So far, she has clinched victory in two out of her nine nominations, securing the titles of Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for "Wait in the Truck" with HARDY, marking this achievement midway through the show.
The romantic journey between Hodges and Wilson began in 2021, but it wasn't until two years later that they publicly revealed their relationship. Hodges made their debut as a couple when he accompanied the talented performer to the ACM Awards in May 2023.
Wilson recently told People Magazine why she'd kept the news of her relationship under wraps.
"I said, 'We gonna see if you're in it for the right reasons.' Turns out, he is," she said. "Somebody said how funny it was watching him high-five all of my artist friends at the ACMs, and I said, 'Those are his friends!'"
"He'll FaceTime me, and he'll be with HARDY and Morgan [Wallen] and Luke [Combs], and I'm like, 'Stop stealing all my buddies,'" she added. "They'll always be out golfing and drinking a beer. I don't have to convince anybody to like him. He's a very lovable person."
The 2023 CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, are available for streaming on Hulu.
