Steve Sisolak, Clark County Commission Chair from Las Vegas, launched the account after spending the night of the attack with Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Michael Lombardo at Clark County's level-one trauma center.
Sisolak pledged the first $10,000. Once the account was verified and picked up by media outlets, the donations started flooding in from across the country.
I'm truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of donations to the Las Vegas Victims' Fund from all over America.

More than 46,000 people have donated so far. Sisolak also thanked the NFL Foundation and Raiders for their "generous contributions" to the Las Vegas victims fund.
Proceeds raised by the account will go towards relief and financial support for the victims of the attack.
