The "Road Less Traveled" singer is up for New Female Vocalist of the Year, one of the most coveted categories of the awards. Upon hearing the news, she took a selfie video in the airport while wiping away tears. In it, she thanks her for staying by her side through it all. The tearful video shows just how much the nomination means to the singer, even if she thinks she looks like a "hot mess."
Alaina released her sophomore album this January, and it's an honest take on her life and struggles, including her struggle with eating disorders. Road Less Traveled resonated with fans both new and old. The album's self-titled single landed her on the country charts, just outside the Top 10.
