Just a couple weeks away from the release of her album Sparrow (out April 20), Ashley Monroe has released another new track, "Wild Love."
Like earlier release "Hands on You," the string-laden "Wild Love" is a song about desire. But while "Hands on You" expressed regret over unfulfilled passion, there's no room for passivity in "Wild Love." The sensuous song, written by Monroe, Waylon Payne and Brendan Benson, is about someone completely uninhibited who won't likely be left with regret.
"I'm on a mission, fast and forbidden, ripe on the vine," Monroe sings. "Under my skin, the fire has risen, the dangerous kind."

Last month, Monroe shared the remorseful track "Paying Attention," which will also be included on the new album.
Sparrow was produced by Dave Cobb and recorded in the historic RCA Studio A in Nashville. The album features songwriting collaborations with several familiar names, including Anderson East, Kassi Ashton, Angaleena Presley and Ryan Beaver.
Sparrow is the follow-up to Monroe's Grammy-nominated 2015 album The Blade.
