LongHorn Steakhouse Opens Grilling Hotline for July 4th

Picture this: a pristine fourth of July, the streamers are set and there's beer in the cooler chilling. Your grill is ready to go and the steaks are in the fridge. You slap on the steaks and let 'er rip; There's nothing to it! Just grill until the steaks look down. A few minutes run by and it looks like your steaks are good to flip but half of them are stuck and ripped, the one in the corner keeps spitting fireballs, and to top it all off, the guests are starting to get a little antsy.

It's happened to the best of us but it doesn't have to put a damper on your grill-out this year. Thankfully, LongHorn Steakhouse and their top Grill Masters are offering their expertise and knowledge to make your 4th of July cookout the best it can be. And let me tell you, these are the best of the best.

LongHorn Grill Masters - Grill

LongHorn Steakhouse

This year Grill Masters from LongHorn Steakhouses across the country competed in Orlando for the title of national champion and over $200,000 in cash prizes. Each contestant had to cook 6 steaks along with sides in 20 minutes, plus answer verbal questions about general steak knowledge. Yea, these people know their stuff.

The winner, Michelle Cerveny from Cuyahoga, Ohio will be on the phones answering at-home grillers questions and sharing expert grilling tips. She will be joined by fellow Grill Masters, Alex Alvarado-Negrete from Hiram, Ga., Assan Jallow from Louisville, Ky., Kimberly Markley from East Wichita, Kan., Edward Ortiz from Millville, N.J., Juan Sacramento from Sanford, Fla. and Dylan Wike from Easley, S.C..

The certified grill masters will be sharing hard-core techniques which they use in LongHouse Steakhouse restaurants for one of the biggest grilling holidays of the year. From popular questions like, "what makes a great grill seasoning," to "What is the right temperature to cook a steak to," no question is off the table...or grill.

To call the Grill Us Hotline dial 1-855-lh-grill to speak to one of the expert grill masters. You can also ask questions all grill season via the LongHorn Steakhouse social media or by checking out longhornsteakhouse.com for chef-inspired recipes and grilling techniques.

The hotline was open this past Memorial Day and will be operating on Labor Day, so keep a look out the next time tricky grilling scenarios pop up.
