Fall weather's approaching, but Luke Bryan brought summer fun to the Grand Ole Opry House during the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) with his Wednesday night (Sept. 16) performance of "One Margarita."

Songwriters Michael Carter, Josh Thompson and Matt Dragstrem share credit for "One Margarita," a recent country airplay hit and Bryan's most successful crossover single since 2014's "Play It Again."
Earlier in the CBS broadcast, the "Knockin' Boots" singer contributed "Rain is a Good Thing" to a show-opening medley of hits co-starring fellow Entertainer of the Year nominees Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Eric Church and your new Male Artist of the Year, Luke Combs. By the night's end, we learned that the ACM Entertainer of the Year vote ended in a tie between Underwood and Rhett.
Other performances of note range from Mickey Guyton and Keith Urban's groundbreaking rendition of "What Are You Gonna Tell Her" and a huge moment for former American Idol standout Gabby Barrett to a dazzling Kelsea Ballerini performance and a show-closing version of Florida Georgia Line's "I Love My Country." Not to mention Kane Brown belting out "Worldwide Beautiful," Eric Church's Johnny Cash-themed build-up to "Stick That in Your Country Song" and Taylor Swift's return to the ACM stage.
It was the first time the awards show was broadcast from Nashville. Performances took place at the Opry House, the Ryman Auditorium and the Bluebird Cafe (both the actual Bluebird, which hosted Tim McGraw and others, and Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's virtual facsimile). The ACM Awards were postponed from a spring date in Las Vegas due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
