Luke Bryan Says He's a Better Farmer Than Blake Shelton in New Video Series

There's a reason Luke Bryan is one of the most popular performers in country music right now. The superstar is incredibly relatable and charming on social media, not to mention his catchy music like "Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day" and "Here's To The Farmer" has earned him ACM Entertainer of the Year multiple times over the years. But the Nashville legend is also incredibly close to his southern roots and he currently maintains a cornfield on his family's property in Tennessee proving that he can be a farmer while maintaining his music career.

The country star has partnered up with Fendt, an agriculture equipment maker, on a new video series called Rise Before Sunrise With Luke Bryan. This might be the first time many of his fans have gotten a glimpse of the cornfield he planted last year during the pandemic. Fans will get to see 25 mini-episodes which will air every Sunday and Wednesday through September to not only catch a glimpse of Bryan working his farm on his Fendt 724 Gen6 tractor, but to hear his hilarious commentary about some of his friends and colleagues as well.

You can access every episode as they come available on Fendt's YouTube channel here.

In the first mini-episode, Bryan pokes some fun at his good friend Blake Shelton. According to Bryan, the CMA winner just isn't a very good farmer.

"Blake calls me all the time, he lives in Oklahoma," Bryan explains in the video as he works his field in the early hours of the morning.

"It's pretty dry there and he's pretty jealous of how much rain we get in Tennessee so, sorry Blake, if you're in Oklahoma, eat your heart out here in Tennessee. I've actually seen Blake Shelton do farming type stuff...no question, I'm a better farmer than Blake. On a Yelp review, I'll give him three and a half stars out of five."

Following each episode, fans will have the chance to enter to win VIP tickets to The Farm Tour which is kicking off in Wisconsin at the beginning of September. Wrapping up in Michigan at the end of the month, Bryan will be stopping for performances in various states each week.

"I think I am more excited about this year's FARM TOUR than any other year," the country star shared on LukeBryan.com.

"Growing up in a farming family in rural Georgia I know how hard farming can be even on a good year, and how hard those families work -- from sun-up to sundown. After the challenges we have all faced in the last year with so many people losing their jobs, struggling to put food on their tables, food supply chains jeopardized, grocery stores struggling to keep food on the shelves in some areas, it is so apparent to me, and I hope everyone, why our farmers are truly the backbone of our country. They never stopped providing for all of us. Ever. It's time to thank our farmers, once again. It's going to mean even more to me this year."
