Luke Combs gave back to a special fan in a big way during his Oct. 3 show in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. After spotting a sign that read "This St. Jude Kid Loves U," Combs brought the little boy holding the sign, Hudson, on stage for a rendition of "This One's For You."
During his stage banter, Combs said that he offered for Hudson to leave the stage since standing in front of crowds is even scary for country music stars, but the sudden spokesperson for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital opted to stay in the spotlight. Hudson wasn't timid on stage, either, as he ate up the opportunity to high-five his front-row fans.
The above video, taken by Facebook user Kaydee Marie, captures the sweet moment.

The special moment accomplished two things. One, it furthers the perception that one of Nashville's brightest young stars, and the artist behind unlikely children's sing-along "Beer Never Broke My Heart," is a genuinely kind-hearted soul. More importantly, it brought more eyes to the St. Jude cause.
Per its website, "the mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay."
In 2017, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Darius Rucker and Brothers Osborne were among the country stars supporting the "This T-Shirt Saves Lives" initiative in support of St. Jude. Before and since that series of good deeds, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Dan + Shay and others have visited and performed at the Memphis-based hospital.
Combs' sophomore album, What You See is What You Get, arrives Nov. 8.
