Country megastars Blake Shelton and Keith Urban are slated to play the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular this year in NYC. If those two plus an impressive pyrotechnic display aren't already enough to make you plan on watching the NBC broadcast, Kelly Clarkson and Ricky Martin are also set to take the stage on Independence Day.

There's no word as to what Shelton and Urban will perform, but we know that Kelly Clarkson will be belting out Irving Berlin's "God Bless America" alongside The West Point Band and Glee Club. This will bring the total to 147 musicians (including Clarkson) performing the song, which is sure to give any American goosebumps.
Of course, what's the Fourth of July without fireworks? In addition to the great music, viewers can watch the blazes of lights shoot off over the East River in New York City. On the Macy's website, they say, "This year's dazzling pyrotechnic spectacle will mark Macy's Fireworks largest display since the Millennial Celebration with more than 75,000 shells and effects launched from seven barges..." Basically, you can get your complete fill of 4th of July festivities without ever leaving your couch!
Macy's expects that around 3 million people will be watching from viewing locations in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn in New York City, and 12 million will tune in through their TVs from across the nation to see the fireworks display and musical performances.
American Ninja Warrior's Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila will take on hosting duties for the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular broadcast starting at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. The show lasts for two hours with an encore presentation coming on at 10 p.m. EST in case you aren't able to catch it the first time around.
